Default A message from Gardening Leave

Hi all,

1st of all, sorry I've not been about, just moved house and internet is not getting switched on till 26th. I'm having to use my phone as a modem and it's costing me a fortune.

I handed the cheque over to Anna today and she was over the moon. She couldn't believe I had arranged the auction and handed her the end result (the cheque). 3 years ago when I 1st went to Gardening Leave I could barely feed myself so what I have achieved by doing the auction made her so proud as it was through her vision that made it all possible.

Anyway, here's the message from Anna

Quote:
LETTER OF THANKS RE FISHING AUCTION.

July, 2011.

On behalf of the veterans at Gardening Leave, I would like to thank all those people who have generously supported the Gardening Leave Charity Auction through donations, bids and online interest.
Although money is very important, raising awareness of Gardening Leave’s work is every bit as important and just by telling other people about the support and encouragement to improve their quality of life which we offer veterans, you are doing something very profound.

With many thanks,

Anna Baker Cresswell.
Chief Executive,
Gardening Leave.

Gardening Leave
Personally, I would like to thank each and every one of you for the amazing support you have shown during the auction. I was blown away by all the generous donations and all the people that bid.

I would like to add a special thank you to Ben (sunkistbob) who agreed to run the auction, without your help none of this could have been possible

Tam

You've got to take some credit yourself Tam.

You were the inspiration and the catalyst - without you we wouldn't have known about Gardening Leave, and the great work they do.

Well done Mate.

cheers,

Andy

Tam,

I have to absolutely agree with what has already been said above, I bid on the fishing equipment, not only because of the charity, but all the hard work and effort everyone has put into this to make i work and having spoken to you on the telephone, your passion for what you do is so evident for everyone to see.

I am sorry I wont get the chance to meet you at the Scottish meet, I travel back home that day, but I would love to meet up for a fishing day at some point

All the very best Tam.

Billy
