Default The BFCC comes to Sportfish Reading saturday 10th July

Hi all it's that time of year again and Sportfish Reading are hosting another of the BFCC's meets on Saturday 10th of July. As with last years very successful day there will be both #5 and #7 competitions as well as the "have a go for gold" badge scheme in which participants can achieve their 25, 30. 35, 40 or even 45 yard distance badges. As ever their trusted club instructors will be on hand to offer 15 minute tuition slots for the bargain price of just £5!

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day with the casting running from around 10am to 4pm

everyone is welcome and I look forward to catching up with those of you who can attend.

If you are going to join us for the day can you make your intent known!

many thanks

Hiya Jono.
The boss Michael Marshall tells me that there is going to be quite a good turn out.

At Reading on Sat. 10th July a new badge will be introduced, in the hope that it will encourage more casters. This is a 20 yard badge for under 18's and all ladies, which will be added to the present starting distance of 25 yards for everyone else.

Tracy & Jan will be adding glamour to our stand. I rather think that our own Mike Heritage may be making up for lost time in the casting comp.

To all the guys and girls out there that want to have a fun day at our "friendly" casting club, come along and bring the family.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Regards

Roger

Great time had by all and some serious distances cast. You can check out BFCC - Home Of Uk Fly Casting and click on results, there is also a write up in the news section and loads of pics in the gallery.

Well done to everyone that took part.

I can see that Brentwood (in October) will be a big stage as everyone will be hurling and furling. There are quite a few more contenders for the top spots now.

A HUGE thanks go to JAT for the supply of food and sorting out a great nine weight set up for the club.

A really great day.

Regards

Roger
