Iv'e heard of Line Slap, where the line touches the rod, during casting. How does this affect distance and how can it be reduced? I know stand-off snakes are good, but, is there an alternative?

reduce friction with armourall, on the line and on the rod, dont run your fingers through your hair after touching it or you will look like a spanish waiter
