HI GUYS

I am trying to put together indoor casting i have been in talks regards to sorting out the venue, this will be great with our weather conditions especially in the winter, this will be open to beginners through to advanced who want to master the single handed rod and also encourage children with there parents.

Not carping but won't the air be a little dead ?

I can understand the golf short game indoors - I can understand accuracy and trick with baitcaster and open face tournament spinning gear indoors - and if you've already tested indoors with success - fine .

My experiences have been it ain't so great ! But that's me .

Good luck

Steve P

To follow on from Steve P............and again not a critisism, but won't you get a much different effect off a floor than the sticktion (if that's a word) that you get from water..........................birdsnest

Hi Guys

This is going to be single handed casting overhead to devlop control with rod and line ,this is the cast we all started to learn first,so there will be rod control ,accuracy lots of different things going on.
If i can take half a dozen children off the streets or away from there computers once a week and give them another intrest ,which will hopefully lead them to our beautiful lochs and rivers we would all be doing a good job
After all they are our future.

Why don't you ask Alberto Laidlaw for advice as he and a few other instructors have been running popular indoor and outdoor fly casting tuition in the Glasgow area for over a year and is also in the process of arranging fly casting events with another well known club which I am sure will be very popular.

The class will run in November for around six weeks, there will be a small donation for the cost of the building.
There is already a lot of children who want to take part which is fantastic!
