tailing loops are caused by a dish shaped or concave rod tip path, Chirs68's stolen diagram shows this nicely. The dip in the fly leg corresponds to the dip in the RTP. The three main course for it when trying to get that little bit if extra distance are.
1. creep, that is not having a long enough pause for the extra line you have in the air. Keep in mind the longer the line the longer the pause.
2 To much power, that is hitting the cast to hard an forcing a deeper bend in the rod, ( see 3)
3. to little arc for the cast, that is usual you are stopping the rod in the same place as normal, try stopping it with the rod tip a little lower than normal. Quite often the fault is caused by a combination of 2 and 3.
Of course having never seen you cast I cannot accurately diagnose what is going on, I am just relying on my experience as a casting instructor.
Hope some of this helps

It's also worth mentioning the more line you have outside of the tip ring the longer the casting stroke needs to be.
