I am happy to still make the effort even if the temperature is low. The only thing that would put me off is if we get a heavy downfall of the white stuff and it sticks on the side roads.

If the consensus is that we want to leave it this week please let us know on here. I am trying to persuade my lad to come and join us as he needs the practice.

Cheers

Chris

I think I will opt out this week, been away on training this week, and have not felt too well. I can't see 3 hrs at -2 doing me any favours.

I would have come but for feeling generally grotty.

sty and Chris, the forecast I looked at just now isn't too bad. The snow is meant to arrive during the afternoon, so the morning will just be cold.

Let's go for it

Andrew

PS Hope you're feeling better soon Mike

Just started reading a book I bought recently: "Casting Angles", by Mac Brown ISBN: 1-890485-00-4

Quote:
Chp 1. The Angler Psyche, pp21
It is shocking that the majority of information regarding this sport still deals with fly patterns more than techniques on casting or reading water.
My kind of book already

Put those vices away and get out in the parks!

Andrew

PS get this: Mac Brown is associate professor of fly casting at West Carolina University

Brave boys out casting today !

I was out in the garden for 20 mins, and got my hands wet washing a seatbox off for eBay. I thought I was going to lose some digits!

Just start with the snow here in Macc.

Three of us today: chris09, st7 and me

The weather wasn't too bad: it only got cold when I stopped casting and started musing on the principles of fly casting

Haha it wasn't as bad as it could have been, we packed up when the snow started! Was glad to get in front of the fire when I got home. Thanks for the tips Andrew and good to meet Chris, fingers crossed should be there next week as well...
