Good advice there from both Graham's. You'll often get more twists in the earlier part of the day, as your droppers are longer, and therefore more prone to wrapping around the leader main line. As the day goes on and your droppers shorten (and effectively, stiffen) due to changing flies then twisting will reduce. As Maharg says, the correct balance between fly size/type and leader material plays a part too, as does the balance of your outfit. Through the course of an average fishing day as conditions, tactics, set-ups, rods, lines, flies change, we probably, on reflection, have a less than perfectly balanced set-up on our hands more often than we do a perfectly harmonised one. Time, money, laziness etc etc see to that. Bottom line... a few twists are an occupational hazzard... everyone gets them from time to time. Don't worry too much about it.
