Default best money I've ever spent

Just completed my second and final fly casting lesson with Robbie Bell. I feel so positive now. I've learnt so much - particularly what I was doing wrong and boy was I doing a lot wrong. i still have a long way to go but now I know what I have to work on. Now I stand a chance of concentrating on the fishing rather than the casting. I managed a double haul of thirty yards - three times lol.
I guess some people are just naturals - for the rest of us - take some lessons!!!

I did lessons when i was 7 and IMO they were the best things my parents could have bought me for my birthday as they got me casting pretty well. Now 20 years on a still remember what i was taught

That's wonderful news but have you read the "life so short" thread? There is a cranky person on this forum that is taking a poll? I'm certain that he will ask you this question, so heads up!

You say that you were doing a lot of things wrong and you have made the corrections. What were they, if you don't mind me asking?

I also had a lesson last week from Brian McGlashan on the river Leven. Great tutor and I'ts stuck in my head what he taught me. Long way to go but well worth it.

I'll try once more. So Kev57, what corrections were made to your casting?
