Default I think I may be double hauling

First things first, I would like to thank everybody that took the time and effort to help me on my previous thread.

So thank you all it is really appreciated.

Spent some time at the park today practising my hauling, and I think I'm on the way to cracking it. Didn't hear heavenly choirs of Angels singing, no dead fly casters appeared in a glowing Obi wan style light.

But beginning to get the feel of it, understand where I was going wrong, timing issues. I will try to explain this at a later date, when I fully understand them.

So thanks again everybody.

Sean

That's the way............nice and easy does it every time. If you over hit it you will bounce the rod and the line will not flow.............birdsnest

I have never felt the need to double haul a trout rod.
The only time i have ever used it is to punt out a big pike fly, thats when it gives great benefits.

Good luck!

Munro
