A mate of mine is after an electric motor and battery for his boat. He'll be doing a mixture of static/drifting and trolling for pike. His boat (when it arrives) is a 10 ft version of one of those sea hopper folding/portable boats.
Any recommendations for a make/thrust of a motor and the required A/H battery.

1 bigger is nornally better,re outboard power
2 Leisure batteries are a must(deep cycle)
3 If trawling a fair bit, carry a spare battery
4 leisure batteries are very heavy(do your back in) get a trolly
5 get a proper charger (expensive)
6 always tie outboard to transom
7 carry a spare prop and nuts
8 I have found Minn Kota to be reliable(more expensive)
