Default Places to Tube in Scotland

Hi guys, thought I would start a wee thread on places that allow Tubing in Scotland. Someone south of the border may want to start one also?

Please feel free to add on places you know allow tubing so we can have a wee reference guide.

I will start off with:

North Third Reservoir

Loch Tay

Loch Earn

Loganlea Reservoir

To be continued..............

Wardend Fishery in Elgin welcomes 'tubers', I believe.

Lochindorb welcomes float tubes, bonus is that its free of charge.

Loch Park is also a great early season tubing water, £15 from memory but chance of a trophy Brownie.

If you're in the Highlands and don't mind a wee walk. Buy an O.S map and take your pick. Area's like Assynt, Lairg, Wester Ross etc have more hill lochs than people and are available for pennies compared to Stocked fisheries.

I would second that!

Nowadays I do 99% wild fishing but of the other 1% Harelaw is the best I have experienced; perfect size, looks like a highland loch, "wild" upland setting with plenty of variety of bays and islands.

Oh and its packed with cracking full finned fish that are free rising and fight like demons!

Bear in mind it's pretty exposed and the last time I tried to take my tube up I turned back realising I might become airborn

Otherwise ideal tubers' water.
