Question Need new waders ?

Hi Guys

Ive float tubed twice this season i normally tube most weekends during the trout season. I was out yestersday water temp 4 oC my 2 year old shaky booted waders ..........enough is enough im fed up with having to aqua sure them every other week. I also noticed my fins have been wearing through the boots attached to the waders !

Time for new waders ...............but what to get ??? Im cetinally getting stocking foots this time i think it will make finning much more comfortable.

Neopranes or breathables

I had a look today at vision sub zeros seem to be about the best neopranes you can get and im very tempted ...........however id like to do more river fishing so im wondering weather to go for breathables and build up layers underneath ??

To be honest my heads "spinning" ...................

Any ideas ???

Bruce is spot on, the breathables are also excellent VFM, and very hard wearing.

Hi Guys

Been looking over old post's .............it would seem we can put a man on the moon but no one can make waders that dont leak

I think float tubers are much harder on waders than normal wader use, as we often spend hours "sitting in water" unlike river or loch fishermen who are in and out walking in differnt depth then moving agian.

All my leaks have been "slight" although extremely annoying, and im sure many would have gone unoticed if i was only wading ?

Id be interested to hear from any float tubers that tube alot like me and who had a pair of waders
that have lasted a couple of years without problems ?

Or one of the drysuits they are selling with a 3 year guarantee?

I suspect that the wetsuits are out, based on the assumption that he wants to stay DRY!
