Default Bilge Pump?

This will probably start a debate but ....... What is best Manual Pump, Electric Pump or the old fashioned Bucket? I know I'm debating the pro's and con's of each at the moment, I could do with some advice.

Thanks,

a one way valve for the boat,
lets the water out, cant get in,,

as for bilge pumps a simple one using the airlock system is fine, cheap and does the job,

hi seanie,
the option i went for which you havent listed was to make/buy a waterproof cover. extends life of the wooden trimmings, stops boat from swamping during periods of inactivity and most little monsters playing nearby will go for an uncovered boat . can be made with little cost or shop around for one prices can vary considerably.

edit: i just read this thread http://www.flyforums.co.uk/boat-fish...p-fitting.html
and realise it may help you decide. i think i may have been thinking along the wrong lines.
tight lines
