I think Sparton is probably the best ,though the Shakespeare is a close copy and around the £100 mark, and I am very happy with mine .
Have to stress I am new too tubing ,so I am no expert !

The above goes for me as well.

Where would you be using it? I ask as I have recently being looking at tubes that keep you higher out of the water eg the guideline drifter.
Advantages of this being warmer, due to medication I,m on I am often cold and have sometimes had to quit after an hour or two and go home
Disadvantage I have heard is the wind catches you more so maybe not the best if you intend using it on big open waters.

Good divers fins are essential for any tube, makes life much easier.

Are they easy to repair? What happens if you get a puncture from a hook point or something?

John

Ive had the Shaky for two seasons now no problems, in my opinion its finished better than the sparton ive used both.

I was going to buy a sparton now glad i saved the extra money to spend on other fishing stuff.

The sparton material i slightly tougher/stiffer than the shaky, but ive hooked my float tubes arms a number of times i fish barbless so pretty easy to get them out never had a punture remember if you fish "barbed" simply cut your line leave the fly till you are ashore, that way you wont punture your tube whilst struggling with it.

Hope that helps ................
