Was out on Raygill yesterday, 1st time in the float-tube. Wow, why have i spent all my days in a boat and bank when i could be in one of these. Great fun especially when you hook a decent fish! One thing id like to ask is, does every-ones legs hurt after float-tubing as the muscles on the backs of my legs were working overtime!! Great fun and thoroughly enjoyed the day, 18 fish to the tube and all 4 different species, browns, rainbows, golden and blues!

Hi Terry
Just like fishing in an armchair isn't it? To start with, take regular breaks to get rid of those aches and pains, and remember that the fins have a lot of water resistance so your calves are working overtime. Slow and steady works for me.

Better still take regular breaks out in the tube doing more fishing!
You calves will harden up by themselves.

Sounds like a superb intro, well done. Don't worry bout the muscles, try the flat calm which may be forecast over the next week or so if you can and that will sort your 'kickers' out!

Cracking debut, well done.
