I am going to start by saying, if you can find a really good fitting pair of boot foot, why not.
They are easier.
I have regular chest highs and waste high stocking foot that I do wear the Simms boot with for tubing because I sit lower and need the rear covered, but I also river fish, so they have two functions.
But I have the breathable bootfoot hippers by Orvis that I can wade shallow rivers and creeks and they are AWESOME for the pontoon.
BUT, different flippers can wear out the boot. I have been using these boots with NO LEAKS (knock on wood) for over 5 years now. I have been through several flippers and noticed them wearing on my shoes and my boots.
I bought Force Finns, 4 years ago and no wear on my Boots or shoes.
Just my thoughts.
