Thumbs up 3 tubed the Tay

Hi Guys

Myself and two other forum members tubed Loch Tay yesterday, one a virgin tuber other experinced.

14 oC, very strong wind crashing down on Kenmore, BIG wave large swell

Ended up in the shelter of the wee bay i fished last week, after a hard start finally got into fish ! Turns out the can chiefs they wanted so bad last week were usless, as were my wee kate.

Unweighted damsel took the first fish a rainbow of 11" great sport on my Dads 8' 3/4# Sonik little rod simply buckled over great fun. 3 more bows fell to my lite damsel, another 3 to my green tag hares ear (always works well when sedges are hatching) took another on a skinny black nymph.

My tubing buddys seemed to enjoy themselves both taking fish too. Agian like last week the fish were feet off the shore in a shallow bay. However the takes were solid and savage unlike last week which were very, very gentle go figure ?

Thats my Dads Sparton crusier, first time i borrowed it i liked the ride slightly better than my beloved shaky (going to mod my seat )

Still say the shaky is the better tube, better value, better finishing
