Can you use a float tube on Lake Bala?

Don't see any reason not to use a tube there.

I don't see why not either. I've seen just about every kind of craft on there, as long as it's not powered.

I would mention one thing though, watch out for the yatch races or those practising for races, especially the catamarans that go very fast with perhaps not the best visability. Just a thought to keep out of their way, or be very visible on this big lake.

Sounds a bit busy for a tube, Lake Hill fishery down the road allows tubes as I recall?

Wouldn't fancy dangling my feet in there.There's some huge pike in Bala..Seen them up to 29lb.Some good brownies though.don't think you'll have a problem but may have to pay a small fee.The wardens at Bala are great blokes and will point you in the right direction.Just avoid at bank holidays,it's chaos.Have fun

I've never seen anyone tubing on Tegid and thought they weren't allowed; yet not specifically excluded?

Save the softmouth trout

If I was you John I would try Brenig first. You can fish the Arm and I think they now let you into Sports Club bay. Lot better than Bala.

yes get in there and have a go let us know how you get on. i would go on any water as long as there are no crocodiles in there pike will never have a go at you i fish were there are pike up to 45+ and see them pass under me some times in the summer.great stuff i would take a horn with you if your going out in the middle of the water as you could be hit by another boat lol

There are some rather large perch and pike in Brenig. It's also a bit safer than Bala to tube on.
