Default Rutland boat launch

Hi guys

Sorry if this question has been asked before but do anglian water allow you to launch your own boat on rutland and grafham? I know that you could back in the day but with all the H&S these days a lot of waters have stopped this.

Planning a visit in the summer hols for a week and would like to use my boat 14ft simulated clinker.

thanx

Only Matt Hayes and Mick Brown can use their own boat on Rutland and Grafham.

Can't remember if it was last season or season before but a couple of geniuses decided to launch and fish from their Kayaks over at Stockie Bay/Monument in very choppy water.

In the big wave, one second you would see them then the next they would disappear, then appear again, total melons.

Does anyone else remember this?

The Pirate.

Wasn't Charlie was it? He's not renowned for his great decision making in a big wave....

Charlie was on the water that day with Bart I was out with My brother and if I remember right the Pirate was guiding two beginners

It's possibly the biggest wave I've fish Rutland and most sensible people didn't go out and if they did they weren't out much after lunch when it deteriorated even more.

Really I thought it was the day we all went up the north arm and fished around the transformer, the wind must have been about 35+ and on the way back stewart was back scuttling down the middle as it was virtually impossible to cast.
