Default Drogues at Grafham

I had my first trip on Grafham this year, yesterday, and so the first opportunity to experience the AW provided drogues and nets.

No problem with the drogues except the single point fixing has a number of disadvantages and I am wondering if I bring my own clamps whether I can modify the setup without damaging the existing ropes which seem to be fixed in place on the drogue and center rowlock ?

Anyone done this successfully ?

Charlie

Default Grafham drogue

Hi Charlie,
I fished grafham last wek and thought the same as you.I think the ropes were long enough to use to clamps to get some seperation without having to remove from the centre fixing..
