Default Tube advice please

I'm planning to get a float tube for Christmas.
Once I've mastered the art of getting in and out of the water, without drowning myself , I will be using it on the river for seatrouting.
With this in mind, I was thinking that this one would be my best option due to the shape,as it should have a little less resistance in the water.

Any one out there had any experience of this particular tube.
Any info would be gratefully received.

And unless I made them out of 1000dtex cordura those bodies might last 3 years of hard tubing .

I already have the life vest cheers
At the time I'll be wanting to use it, the river will be low and slow. So I'll have to work out some sort of "anchor" set up to keep me in place.
I'm not expecting to give it a lot of stick, so hopefully it will last a few years.

The link doesn't work.
I have been tubing for a few years now and I wouldn't dream of tubing in a river. What do you think would happen if you trapped a leg in a hidden submerged tree/rope/net for example? You would be pushed under by the flow. Just don't do it.

I considered tubing for coarse fish in a local river that was slow. After further thought I discounted it on the grounds that I could get killed regardless of how benign it looked. Chuileog is 100% correct. Don't do it.

EDIT: Sorry, half an hour later I had a thought, got on a high horse there. Regardless of what I or anyone else thinks, I have no business telling you what to do at all. Assuming you're an adult (which I think likely) and entitled to do as you see fit provided it's legal, it's entirely up to you if you think it's safe. If you choose to proceed I wish you the best of luck and a safe return.

Default Snowbee Tube

Basically I agree with what has already been said, also I would not buy that tube without trying one first. I tried it and did not like it , I hit the back of my legs on the seat when I paddled.

That tube resembles an American Fish Cat, I think one of the BFTA blokes had 1 , like most high riding tubes , they catch the wind something rotten .
It is no coincidence that a majority of experienced tubers went for Steve Partons tube .

And as I'm working down to retiring next June - you might get a very fair deal on a frustrated Export Model I have a couple of kicking round !

Over to you

For river, do yourself a favour and get a pontoon boat. Much, much easier to go around and much, much safer. Just my 2 cents.
