Default Boat Maintence 19ft anglers fancy

How's a goin folks

Would it be much of a job to replace the gunwhales and transom on 19ft anglers fancy .ie cutting and fitting or steaming the lengths to be fitted.
Never done it before myself.
There is a bit of rot in them now so i would like to replace with new wood .
What sort of costs could i expect? or would it be better to leave it to the pro's.

It must be replaced in good quality Iroko. You would want to be quite good and experienced at joinery to attempt that work and you would also need a lot of joinery equipment bench saws, drum sanders, desk planers etc etc.. why not ask Burke boats in Ballinrobe for a quote they will do it.

I'd agree with Cax. Leave it to the experts. You could try Davidsons in Loughrea too.
