Overcast/sunny/hail: NNE-N-NNW

We started off with a drift from mid/south St Serfs drifting over to deeps, 3 drifts zigzag to east buoy, not a touch: Di7's pulling mini lures.

Headed to the hole of the inch (through the neck) to find 3 anchored boats Not much chance of a decent drift here. Set up from Portnook point coming into the hole but too short a drift before coming on an anchor.

TAC comp day:

NE-NW wind, pi$$ing rain, cold, sunny......

Dropped 3 near dam wall side on viva cormies, then snapped (bad cast), boat partner dropped one.
Eventually managed 1 on the cormie, nice O/W 3lb'er, fully finned and a lovely scrapper.
Motored to the middle far bank and touched another but now't else all day.
Rise come on for a good couple of hours but no joy with floater and CDC's, Shipmans or trad's.

A Very tough day touching nothing all day, Di5 pulling lures/mini lures and traditional wets.
Hover (1ips) using wets then Buzzers, anchored at the sluices.
1st of tried the hole o the inch, then St Serf's point, then the sluices; not a damn thing!
South side of the castle, then the back, then Manse bay onto the green isle and scart, now't!

TAC comp day:

1st outing with the new club, Townhill AC.
On the water at 12 and bagged up by 1:25, 5 for 14lb 1oz. Boat partner by 1:35.
A further 5 released, mostly on a #12 UV Holo Cormie (G & B), a few on a straggle Cat (Green body, white marabou).
1st 5 from the hotel bay with a strong SW wind.
Rookery and the butts also produced.

Not really an update id like to add but im sat at home with the rugrats, the mrs is at work iv got tangled on the tv keeping the kids busy. Im sat in the kitchen on the laptop checking out the forum and youtube for other peoples adventures. Just been in the fishing cupboard got the gear out as it looked sad sat away.... so im gonna sit here and clean my gear and feel even sadder for myself, I look forward to my next tripno end so untill then ill keep myself busy cleaning my gear and reading about...
