Hi All,
This sub-forum is part of the Social and Community Benefits of Angling project (see first post in the Angling Research forum or go to
www.anglingresearch.org.uk).
The Assynt research study is to explore the role of angling in a remote rural area where angling is a key part of the local community. This includes working closely with the local angling groups and providing information and feedback that is useful to them.
Interactive Map
As part of this we have developed a specific website
www.assynt.anglingresearch.org.uk that includes an interactive digital OS map, with information and feedback forms for over 75 lochs as well as sea and river fishing. This has been developed in response to two issues - that anglers don't know where to go when up there (there's over 500 lochs) and that local angling groups get very little feedback at all from visiting anglers. Give it a go and let us know what you think as well as your experience in Assynt!
Questionnaire
There's also an online questionnaire specifically about angling in Assynt which we'd like anglers to complete.
If you have been, or are going to Assynt, please go to the site and give us some input. Or just tell us what you think right here.
As with my previous post, if you have any questions or concerns before taking part, just drop me a line.
Thanks
Adam
