Know what you mean about the colour tho. The upper Lune is similar - and that's a river which rarely colours up in low water......and my local Ribble is snotted up altogether. We actually had a slight lift - 6" or so - towards the end of the week, but the only effect it had was to dislodge some of the weed and allow it to drift mid water. The result was an almost unfishable river.
Add to that the fact that our beat had a minor fish kill a few weeks ago (low flows meant that an abbattoir's discharge wasn't getting fully diluted and about 50 fish died of oxygen deprivation), and mink and cormorants are all over t'shop. It's all a bit depressing really

My river bed is exactly the same Matt, never seen it as green and i've fished the Ure here for 25 noodles !...
My other river { and yes, there all mine !!
} the Skell, is low, but crystal !.
