John Purtill 5th in 2nd session and 44th overall
Basil Shiels 4th in 2nd second and 52nd overall. Basil has had 2 sessions on the San with one river session left and 2 sessions on boats from the reservoir so he should start creeping up the table.

The section on the Reservoir (Myczkowce 11) seems to be the tough one with low numbers of trout being caught and a number of blanks there.

Hey Bert,

I wish the lads well from all the participating countries apart from Auzy and the Yarpies of course... for Ireland you can't have specialized lake anglers fishing World Champs which are predominantly river based... not when your going up against the skill level of the French etc... the over all individual placings for the (IRISH) lads are pretty... (I won't say theres kids reading this). But that's a reflection of selection policy for the rivers... as we both know.

Scotland had a great start and c'mon the rest of the British Isles!
