Fair enough Liam. Dont usually go down to the washstones. Find that water a bit boring. As for the gillarroo spawning in the drowes, personally haven't seen them but have caughr v nice sonnaghan at the crooked hole in late april, in great condition too, all on a black pennell size 12.
Funny story. Was watching a friend salmon fishing in January at the crooked hole. He was wading the river but flip me pink a salmon swam between me and him(I was on the river's edge). It was virtually in the grass!
Thomas before him and Shane have done a great job on the river and deserve great praise. On the subject of sea trout the Duff does get a run because I have seen some dead ones?mink on stones just at the big bridge upstream from MARY'S BRIDGE. Never realised the Duff is a broader river than the drowes. Hope that meet JJ talks about comes to fruition as would love to meet up with you guys.
