I have just restored an old Fosters of Ashbourne 7ft Airsprite cane brook rod. changed the 6 bridge rings for 6 snakes plus a nice agate butt ring,seems to have improved the action considerably,cant wait to try it out.
Its the first cane rod i have worked on,and i am really made up how it has turned out.
The Airsprite is more of a medium action,where as the wallop that i tried was much faster and perhaps better for dry fly.
Looks like a few people are interested in the Wallop brook rod now,should have kept my mouth shut!If it gets into a bidding war ive no chance,just a poor car worker me! Steve
