I am horrified by the sheer number of canoeists on the Wye as well.
I pray for gray drizzly days when fishing Symonds Yat,lovely beat bar the canoes and the pegged in coarse anglers.Best on a miserable damp say before 16th of june.

Did you see that trout rise I was asked by a canoeist a year ago as he drifted straight over where I had just pricked him .Possibly just as well I had consigned that day to sight seeing , otherwise might have lost my cool.
