Whilst on this Okuma theme can anybody see the point (for British fishing) of the drag system on the Okuma Trent?

Is it able to be set light enough to reliably act as a 'feathering' drag when trotting to hold-back slightly?

I have a Youngs Rapidex with the little adjuster wheel and NEVER use it anyway...
