sonnaghan, as a rule probably okay but it's not lacquered so will oxidize after a few wettings. Often they use a lower grade of copper as well so it may not always handle/wind as well as the non-domestic stuff. Take a look in your local craft shop as well, generally the best size to get from there is their finest. It's not as fine as many of the other gauges we use, however it's good quality & much cheaper.
